Homo Naledi has been described as "an extinct species of hominin" by wikipedia. Homo Naledi has been classified as part of the "Genus Homo". Homo Naledi was found by Professor Lee Berger (Ph.D. D.Sc.) in the craddle of human kind located just outside Johannesburg. Homo Naledi is estimated to be around 236,000 and 335,000 years old. Homo Naledi was discovered on 10 September 2015 and was later classified as a new type of hominin. The University of Witswatersrand was said to have funded the excavation expedition known as "Rising Star Expedition" which reportedly descovered around 300 bones from the Dinaledi Chamber which is where Homo Naledi was reportedly found. The findings from the "Rising Star Expedition" included the following "skulls, jaws, ribs, teeth, bones of an almost complete foot, of a hand, and of an inner ear" as reported by wikipedia.
